I'm in-house golf pro at lifestyle concierge.

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and have always been a sports nut. I love playing, watching, talking about and organising sport of any kind. My great-grandfather, grandfather and father all played golf and I discovered the game at a very young age: I love golf and all its traditions. I also played a lot of rugby, which won me a scholarship to the University of Cape Town, where I studied psychology. I am also a black belt in judo and played professional cricket in South Africa. But my passion is and always will be golf.

Port Royal in Bermuda is my favourite course. It's a strange fact that I've never had a hole in one. I have holed out from over 200 metres many times for eagles and double eagles, but never done it from the tee. Once I played with a guy who shot 114 but still somehow managed to get one.

My favourite sporting moment was South Africa’s victory over Australia in the 2006 ODI cricket series, and of course the 1995 Rugby World Cup win, where I was a ball boy.

The sportsperson I most admire changes from time to time, but at the moment it has to be Tom Watson. The courage and mental strength the man shows is phenomenal, not to mention the grace with which he conducts himself.
