Crazy for cars? Ascend to auto heaven at Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex
Mixing motoring with food – any self-respecting man's two favourite pastimes – has got to be the perfect way to end a week. At Goodwood Breakfast Club, the mostly themed events cover everything from ‘Soft Top Sunday', where convertible cars of any age, shape and size are celebrated (alongside open-cockpit aircraft) – to ‘Maserati Magnifica', a homage to Italian collectors' vehicles.
This year also sees the debut December breakfast club, themed unsurprisingly around Christmas – make sure your heater works and there's room in the boot for presents. Alongside the motors, attendees are treated to the Pit Lane breakfast, a 100% organic offering of scrambled eggs, Goodwood sausages (pork or vegetarian) in a floured bap, two rashers of bacon, mushrooms, tomato and a trusty cup of tea, coffee or juice.
The Breakfast Club runs from 8.30am to midday, usually on the first Sunday of every month. It is aimed at motor enthusiasts of every type, be it for cars, motorbikes, trucks, aeroplanes and even buses. Entry is free for all, though the breakfast is not. Call us for exact dates and the running themes and we can let you know when to attend.
