Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire
V has pulled off a major coup this year, being the only festival in England to bag the Stone Roses as one of its headliners. The Manchester legends will be performing at Hylands Park and Weston Park on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 August respectively, with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds taking the slot before them.
The line-up for 2012 has a particularly nostalgic vibe, with other acts from the 1980s and 1990s including Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets (who Noel Gallagher was once a roadie for), Madness and The Human League.
The Killers will headline the other night with a performance that will, we suspect, feature new material from their forthcoming album, which is planned for release later this year. The main support for this night will be Irish rockers Snow Patrol.
Other acts schedule to perform across the weekend include David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran, Example, Tom Jones, Keane, James Morrison, Emili Sandé, Friendly Fires, Professor Green, Olly Murs, Noah and the Whale, LMFAO, Maverick Sabre, Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth and The Stranglers.
