It may seem early to start thinking about Valentine’s Day, but our lifestyle managers know from past experience that it is best to get your orders in ahead of time to ensure the best levels of service. Even if you are a complete flower novice or romance-averse, just give us a call and our lifestyle managers can lead you through the process from start to finish – even assisting in writing the perfect message card. And hopefully we can score you a few brownie points in the process.
'The thought always counts with flowers,' says our floristry expert Hannah Rech. ‘But it's much better if the bouquet suits the message and the person receiving them.' We'll advise on colours, arrangements and messages, as well as source added extras such as bottles of champagne, chocolates and even a picture of George Clooney, which we did for one member’s mother.

Romance
Thousands of flowers are sent each year, but our experts know how to make your gift stand out.
Hannah suggests: ‘A contemporary alternative to a bunch of roses would be to send a hat box filled with vintage roses, or a funky heart-shaped arrangement studded with hot pink ranunculus, finished with spring green carpet moss and variegated ivy trails.'
Rare orchids are also popular among members looking for a distinctive flower. Cymbidium orchids are in their natural flowering season from October to March. Their ethereal blossoms can be used to create memorable gifts – for both women and men. Hannah says: ‘A great idea for a masculine gift would be to send green cymbidium orchids in a stylish tall glass vase – a simple yet effective gift that will last up to three weeks – or tiny colourful cacti presented in contemporary and stylish containers.'
Our team can also come up with creative accompaniments to flowers that will surprise your loved one. Hannah says: ‘We filled a box the size of a fridge with enough little star-shaped helium balloons to cover an entire ceiling when the box was opened.' She adds: ‘We also purchased an iPod, downloaded a specific song onto it and arranged for the florist to play it to the recipient when they delivered the bouquet.'
House plants
Flowers aren't just for special occasions: a simple bouquet can brighten up a room, and we can arrange weekly deliveries to members who always want to have fresh cut freesias or a vase of tulips in the home.
Hannah comments: ‘Members order flowers for all types of occasions: weddings, proposals, birthdays, house warming gifts and as a way of saying thank you.' Give us details of the recipient, budget and occasion, and we'll find the perfect arrangement. We have good relationships with reliable experts that we've used many times before, and we vet all suppliers to ensure our members receive a high-quality service at the right price.
