These restaurants have all the crucial ingredients for a family-friendly meal: a good children's menu, booster seats and high chairs, nappy changing facilities and - last, but certainly not least - food to please the grown-ups as well. We frequently book tables for families and can make sure restaurants can accommodate all special requests, from space to store unwieldy prams to food that will please picky little eaters.
Call a lifestyle manager to arrange a meal at any of these restaurants or to get more ideas for places to dine with the whole family - and be sure to check out our guide to family-friendly restaurants outside of London as well.
Zafferano
15 Lowdnes Street, London SW1X 9EY
This rustic Michelin-starred Italian has a largely corporate clientele during the week, but on weekends it becomes far more kid-friendly, with families frequently booking the 18-seat private room for inter-generational events. Parents can dine on lobster spaghetti, veal lasagne and pumpkin risotto while children can enjoy small-sized portions of Italian classics - especially popular pizzas.

Sticky Fingers
1A Phillimore Gardens, London W8 7QG
Children clamouring for McDonald's? ‘Take them to London's best American restaurant,' says lifestyle editor (and New York native) Jean Edelstein. The burgers, ribs and steaks are sublime, and come in both adult and kid-sized portions, while there are also fish and pasta options for meat-avoiders. Plus, the innovative cocktail menu and impressive wine list add a bit of extra appeal for the older members of your party - all in all, a great place for a family night out.

Apsleys
The Lanesborough Hotel, 1 Lanesborough Place, London SW1X 7TA
If you have guests to impress, but kids to cater for as well, Apsleys at the Lanesborough is the city's best pick: thoroughly upscale, but with discreet and efficient staff who are on hand to provide high chairs, booster seats, and a full children's menu. Grown-ups will savour Heinz Beck's delicately prepared Italian cuisine, and the young ones can enjoy a romp in Hyde Park after lunch or dinner.

The Wolseley
160 Piccadilly, London W1J 9EB
‘The Wolseley is about grown-up glam with unfussy food,' says our restaurant expert Hernan Castro-Vidal. Chatter and laughter fill the vast dining room, and though sweeping arches and towering pillars give the Wolseley a sense of grandeur, its unpretentious bustle can comfortably absorb any displays of exuberance from young diners. The restaurant is modelled on the grand cafés of the continent, and its menu offers a selection of classic European and British fare. Hernan says: ‘It serves an all-day menu that's great for kids, and it's open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.' There's plenty of space on the checked marble floors for buggies to flit between tables, and the friendly staff are on hand to help families settle. Booking is, however, essential - call us to make reservations and our lifestyle managers will ask for a table with plenty of space to accommodate the whole family.
